I'm back, finally from China like two months ago. Not just that , so as my blog!

I know I said this many times- I will still try to update as many as possible.

This time, I has set the setting to some readers only, thou I know there is not much reader.

So right now, is the new stage of my life =/ , the one long stage of working life - from primary, secondary, college and then University. Sigh!!

I am not gonna talk about my new phase because it isn't exactly started yet.

So this post is gonna be one of the many China incident experience I had and this take place at Suzhuo railway Station on 26th December 2010.

After Christmas at Shanghai, I was told by my Dad that he got a friend in Suzhuo, that could take care of me. So he gave me that friend number, so i called his number many times, either didn't pick up or engaged. So I couldn't get him, but my dad insisted me to go his Suzhuo first.

So when I reach Suzhuo, at 1430pm, then explored around the station. Then found one 24 hours KFC Restaurant. So my initial plan was to overnight there if there is no news about his friend.

EAT-SLEEP- NO PLAY involved obviously until 2330, then I couldn't stand it anymore. then I realize that I got a free hotel booklet back from a promoter at the Shanghai Station.

So I used that booklet to find out the cheapest hotel/motel around Suzhuo.

As soon as I found it, I called my sis back home to find the direction from Station to the hotel.

Come and think of it, if I actually ignore the promoter like everyone else, I would actually end up and rot at the restaurant.

Anyhow, as soon as I located the hotel with my sixth sense, I carry up my backpack, handbag and laptop bag head out to find cab.

When I'm at the outside of the railway station, there are lot of 'promoter' promo their accommodation and transport. So I ignore at first, keep on looking for cab station.

Till I couldn't find one, I ask one of them, then slowly, it accumulated the rest of them , around 10 people, surround me and insists me to go on with their ride.

Then, one of them asked, are you from Korea? ( as I was wearing beanie, in china, if you wear something on your head, high chances that you being Korean). then I said no, then they keep on guessing, and they will never guess it was Malaysia anyway. Anyhow, as them surrounded me, I was so afraid that they would actually can just snatch my stuff away.

Nevertheless, I ignore them by just walking out the circle, then head out of the station.

As I heading out, one of them ride scooter , and offer me the ride to the hotel, for 25 yuan and even comment that the hotel i picked is expensive. I ignore , obviously.

Thank goodness that I know how to read Chinese character, that it stated Cab station this way.

Quickly walk toward that direction, and then they did not follow up anymore as if they that the cab station is too holy or bright for them being vampire-ish to walk in like that.

So i ask the cab driver about , them like what are they, what are they doing.

the cab driver said they are 'black vehicle', often charge higher rate than usual to place.

Anyhow, the driver took 10 min to my hotel, which expected anyway.

If I really think of it, if I didn't do either one of it -

take the hotel booklet from the promoter

do hotel location with estimated distance and direction

I would end up with much worse ending of this post.

Nevertheless, I did tips the driver for giving me lot information , and got a very affordable and comfortable place to overnight.

Too many things need to take care of!

Research Assistant Job, Research, stare at sky and imagine some Greek symbol float around.

Then China Visa, Great Wall, Grant, Currency risk, FOREX, SURVEY, EXAM! CFA Investment! PRESENTATION! TRIP! THESIS! GRAD STUDENT LIFE. TRIATHLON!

OH my god!! This is suck!

Anyhow, I still gotta blog bits of what I have done or things that is 'significant' for past few months.

Nico & Portsea Swim Classic 2010

From now on, I'm going to change the format of my blog by using align left instead of align center.

Meanwhile, I'm also looking for new layout for my blog.

If there is any suggestion, just comment at this post, alright?

On 16th January 2010, I went to Portsea ( which is 80km from where I live) for Portsea Swim Classic.

It's 1200m, we are talking about 12 laps (back n' flow = 1 lap) of Olympic size swimming pool (50m length).

Nevertheless, to cover my distance for this event, I already jo

in as member for Monash Aquatic ever since I landed on Melbourne.

With the member, I have unlimited access to the pool.

So occasionally, you will noticed my hair was wet when I head in lecture hall or tutorial room.

Or you can even smell the chlorine from my body.

Anyway, Me and Chelsea woke up 630am in the morning to

catch public transport.

and it took us 3 hours to reach that place.

And of course, it did not disappoint us even thou it ruined our sleep.

There were so many people around the pier.

So, as soon as I allocate the Monash tent, I grab my race kit and change.

A little heads up, this is the 'latest' picture of my hair.

Yes, it is classic!

As we were speaking of the event, my wave ( Men Open) start at 12pm.

This is how are we suppose be ready at the beach.

As the whistle blowed, everyone jump/dive/walk/run/hop/crawl/jump with one leg/ into the

sea and began their 1200m of open water swimming.

As I started swimming, the water was cold freezing. Well, this is Atlantic water where from south pole. Correct me if I'm wrong.

While longer, I get used to the temperature and then slowly front crawl towards the check point.

Sadly, It took me so effing long to reach because of the current and the multiples wave hits on my face.

This is what I actually see when I swimming.

and under the water, it's too magical for me to describe.

You might see shining stuff under the seabed.

As I keep swimming, I often goes wrong direction which I hate the most, because it will take longer distance that you suppose be.

Until this happen :

Lifeguard approaching me and say I took too long on the water.

He claimed that I wasn't moving at the some of the point as the current and the wind too strong.

At the same time, my leg wasn't at good condition as well.

So , I give up and join the rest of not completing it.

Gotta admit, I kinda disappointed about it but there is nothing much I can do about it.

Not that I not enough training, I even swam 2km. Maybe because I don't have the experience of it.

One thing need to amend about is, Correct my front crawl stroke and yea. participated again in future. =)

P.S : After the swim, I cycled 7.5km to work as I miss the schedule bus. It was dead tired for me after, 4 hours of working and cycled 7.5km back home. But it was worth for the money, I guess.

Nico & New Year Resolutions 2010

2010 had arrived.

Frankly I got nothing to look forward for this year.

Therefore, everything will be a surprise for me, I suppose.

To readdress this post, I would like to announce that my previous new year resolution was

EPIC FAILURE!

I did not complete swimathon.

I did not say 'Yes' for things that suppose to say.

I did not complete my monthly recipes.

AND

I was immature and had lot fun for previous year.

Like I said, It was EPIC failure.

So, for this year, I am going for the Pulau Kapas Swimathon during March.

FOR REAL.

To start off , I'm about to participate the 1200m Swim classic at Port Sea.

Although, it is just 20% of the Swimathon but is always better than nothing.

Next, I gotta be LESS Sarcasm

Well, I can't deny that.

But what I'm trying to say, I will TRY MY BEST for not giving unnecessary comment UNLESS is necessary.

For my academic prospect, I gotta think deeper than I always do for my assignments

and try to listen other opinion even thou they are wrong.

Lastly, I will try to update my blog as much as possible.

I did not note much things about last year and now I'm regret for not remember anything about it.

Nico & New Year Eve 2010

Despite how much I miss my home/friends back at my home country, how much I always wanted to go back now, this is the only reason why still hang around Australia till now.

As I mentioned, I worked during NYE. Pathetic eh?

Believe it or not, I had lot fun from it.

(minus off the heavy load of stock carry around city and the stress of not getting sales done)

Seriously, where can you get a job that can earn and celebrate at the same time.

I'm not gonna mentioned much what I sold,

this picture is gonna explain everything.

Those things that on me, are the things are meant to be sold.

Including things on mouth. =D

During NYE, Melbourne had a heavy rain.

(Obviously , you can see it from my silky long curly hair, hate you YINM!)

Thankfully, it wasn't a thunderstorm, else it gonna be huge disappointment for everyone.

Nevertheless, Me, Tak Leong & Chelsea had fun under the rain thou we knew that we gonna sick or how stinky and soaky our shoes gonna be.

It might seems sucky to work under the rain, but the cheerful atmosphere did not break me down.

Every time when we reached at the very end of the year,

we tend to rephrase what have we done for the year itself.

Well, for myself.

Frankly, I have learn quite lot stuff and met lot people from diffe

rent culture.

I wouldn't be surprise that this year could be the best year of my life when I soon realize at the older age.

Instead of telling what's the bitty stuff that I've done every month.

I shall categories all the event, incidents , things into good and bad.

let's start with the bad one, shall we?

1. I did not complete my 2009 new year resolutions by:

a.NOT complete swimathon at Kapas Island.

b. NOT saying yes to anything for most time.

c. NOT doing monthly recipes!

PHAIL!

2. Lost on C3 competition but had a great time with Elite group =(

3. Lost my cell phone again and left it at New Zealand during

the trip.

How's that sound?

4. I regret that I did not complete any Triathlon event this year.

5. I hurt my knee cap by cycling 100km after 42km of running.

6. I fail one unit during semester 2!

7. Lost my passport during Gold Coast and Brisbane trip.

Despites how bad are those incident, life is all about balance

according to generalization theory

P.S : I'm working hard on that theory.

Thus, when there's bad, definitely have good to be existed to define life.

The first good thing that happen on me during 2009:

1. I have ever finally step into Australia for the first time of my life.

I know it sounds cheesy but it is just the fact of it and I do take a big deal about it.

2. Met lot of different people around the world during the exchange program.

3. Had done Marathon @ MELBOURNE within 5 hours.

4. Week after that, Around the bay 100km cycling from Sorrento to Melbourne City.

Gold Coast : Wet n' Wild, Dream and Movie World.

And Canerra trip for making replacement passport

6. Did Bungy Jumping

7. Did Handstand Beer Bong

8. being waiter at Malaysian Restaurant During my semester

I wish I had more time to do this last post for 2009.

But that is all I could recall for now...

Nico & New Zealand

Uh Huh, Indeed, it is kiwi above there, except that it is cute version of all kind.

In New Zealand, local refer em'self as kiwi(s) , while the Australian would be Aussie(s).

So, back to two months ago,

on 23th September, Me, Kar Mern & Carlyn took a flight to New Zealand.

Since this is my last semester, and New Zealand seems near somehow, and here we go.

During the New Zealand trip, We've been tree major cities,

well, not exactly three cities, because we didn't really explore Christchurch.

Nevertheless, theses are the three cities :

Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.

On the very first day of our New Zealand trip, we reached the Christchurch at 1am

we got nothing to do around Christchurch, most of the shop are close, OBVIOUSLY.

then wanted to go Casino instead, but thanks to Kar Mern for being 19.

We couldn't win NewZi Dollars from those BLOODY KIWI.

so, what were we doing in the middle of night of Christchurch?

We CAMWHORE around it!

After that, we took shuttle to the city and ask for advise where to eat around during midnight.

Trust me, they won't get bored saying it.

After we had our 'sup-fast', we felt so sleepy and couldn't thought of what else to do,

so we sleep through the night with our luggage with us =D

We slept till 6am, then we took morning bus from Christchurch to Dunedin,

where my friend , Samantha and Henry live at,

gonna visit them for good.

You have certainly no idea how cold it was while we waiting for the bus.

We literally have to hide in a building,

and then Carolyn trying to solve her international roaming service.

ow happy she was when she hop on warm bus after settle up the mobile service.

We had a break during our journey to Dunedin, we bought bread as lunch and took group picture @ Omaru.

The City itself

When we reached Dunedin, we called up Samantha and met her up.

Gosh, After more than 1 and half year for not meeting with her.

She certainly change a lot , and that included her accent

TOTALLY NEW ZEALAND-yish!

of course, I shouldn't say anything about her, it would be unfair for her cause she is the one who provide us the accommodation and tour guide for us as the host.

Better yet, Henry , one of my secondary high schoolmates, also neighbor of Samantha.

I didn't they knew each other till I came Australia.

What a small world eh?

So on that day it self, Samantha brought us around the city

and she explained that Dunedin city is just like student city,

where most of the population are student, where the elderly live suburb area.

So, it also means that the city is gonna be hell lot of fun during night

because it always have party every single night.

While we done our booking activities at tourist Information

we visited Samantha's University, which Otago University

Fun fact of it : it is also the most south University in the world

First Glance of it, it looks ancient and greenish to me

But once I step into their library:

Yup, got it right.

It is their freaking Library,

It is so fucking awesome that it made me wanna drop my course at Monash University

and come here study.

Why didn't I thought of Otago University after my Pre-U.

How stupid! and now I Regret.

So, we overnight at Samantha's friend , Alvin

He is from Singapore and he work two jobs while he study.

I think that is what I gonna do, if I was given a chance of stayin here.

On the next day itself, we woke up early in the morning and prepare explore around the Dunedin.

Samantha told us that we should try the 'Flying Squid', which is Fish n Chip shop.

We had a hard time to find it

but worth for the effort.

While I enjoying my Fish N' Chip, I thought of staying Dunedin for good

While we on our way back to accommodation, we met the

and we had real good conversation!

After that night, we continue move on the next city,

Queenstown, where the all the most adventurous and highest adrenaline place!

While we on our way to Queenstown,

We seen lot of sheeps,

it might seem nice to swim, trust, it is freaking cold!

If I no mistaken, the average temperature would be 3 - 6..

After the miserable 5 hours of journey,

we finally reached the Queen's town

and had good night rest for the next day of extreme sport we gonna do.

On second day of Queentown,

while the two girls who don't dare to do the bungy, they went out early for their safari trip.

and me, of being heavy sleeper, did not exactly witness the snow with them.

As in, they witnessed earlier than me, that's all.

After I woke up, I had my signature on someone's car.

After we had the cruise, we were dead tired.

Apparently, there have two casinos in same town.

and each of them had one small room of it.

The last day of it, where me and kar mern wanted to skydiving.

Who knows, or God knows, it went snowy and not suitable for skydiving.

Therefore: it canceled!

Whew! it save me lot of bucks!

So Kar Mern decided to do her bungy instead of skydiving.

because this is like must do thing when you're in Queenstown.

and after that day, she feel so excited and wanted do more in future.

and we went back to christchurch and overnight at the airport.

and it suck!!!

especially when it's still winter.

After a week of harshness full marathon @ Melbourne, I was so dead tired, especially, the post-effect sourness on Monday.
Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as Singapore Marathon, where I literally have to wear pad ( bicycle pad) , to support my butt, walk around.

Turnout, on Monday(12th Oct), I'm able to attend Lectures and tutorial.
Not to say, the soar was completely eliminated, but is least better than last time.

Better yet, On Tuesday ( 13th October), I was able to join the Tuesday running group.
and Trevor was surprise that I was manage to pull off on training even after Marathon.
and he congratz me by gimme the Melbourne Marathon Cap as souvenir, because I told I gonna leave Australia soon.

On the same week itself, I got Maths Assignment, which I have to hand up on 15th Oct.
What's next? On 18th October, I got another sport event,

AROUND THE BAY!
This time,
I participated 100km distance rather than 250km, because finals is coming up, and I got another assignment due on 22nd.

I don't want like another incident of hospitalized, then got zero for my assignment.

don't ask me :
"you crazy! after marathon you still wanna cycle 100km!"
or
" you still got two assignments due! got enough time training or not?!"

despite how busy I am, how insufficient training I had before the event, I just gotta join..

I came all the way here for exchange experience, this is the experience I'm looking forward for.
If I don't join the event, is just like:
Me going restaurant ask for the best dish ever, and don't eat and leave the restaurant.
is just like what's point of comig restaurant at the first place.

So, I gotta take the bus all the way to sorrento, which is 100km south of melbourne.
I was asked to take bus @ 430am on Sunday morning.
sadly, there's no public transport at that time. So,
is either I gonna :

a) cycle 40km from clayton to city as warm up?

b) overnight @ colin's apartment?

c) overnight @ casino till 4am.

so I chose C
Reason :
a- crazy! is so fuckin cold in the middle of night!
b- I shouldn;t ask twice same person, I feel bad.

so, I decided to overnight casino and let's say , I had a fun night on that night
=)
so basically, I was awake the whole night, by myself. It wasn't easy especialy, when you're suppose to sleep before the big day.

So I went the public bus and unlock my racing bike, and put it into truck.
and off I go to sorrento. Obviously, I sleep thru the journey to Sorrento.

It took 1 hour plus to reach there:

so , our mission of 100km is to get our ass back where we came from : CITY!
and you are given a thing called : bicycle, the only problem is,
are you willing to do that ?

As the race started, the 1st 5km was crowded, I gotta pedal slowly,
but it was fun to see one big group of cyclist and get to see those fancy expensive bicycle.

Of course, meanwhile, there is photographer along the road..

During the event, I witnessed lot of bike crash. It was horrible.
AND
repairment of bicycle side of the road.
I should be thankful that I didn't get any of it.

Seriously, when one cyclist crashes,
we gotta yell: CRASHING! CRASHING!! to warn other cyclist.
Then, give the break hand signal along the journey:

First off, I will try to update my New Zealand Trip As as soon as I can.

Anyway, on 12 Oct 2009, is Melbourne Marathon Day,

Frankly,

I gotta say this, this is the least prepare Marathon I ever had compared to my previous two

Marathon.

I only did 18km distance once, and couple casual short distance of cross train

ing, which I don't think It actually contribute any help on marathon.

Worse yet, the night before Marathon, I had seafood buffet @ New Quay, DOCKLAND.

It's just same as Night before Singapore Marathon:where Yeong's Mom treat such good steamboat meal.

I guess people who actually live in Melbourne will know who far is it.

Overall , the run was AWESOME!

no CRAMP! SMOOTH 42KM run EVER!

and the result is :

I completed the distance with 4 hours 21mins! that is like HOLY SHIT to me!

the PREVIOUS marathon was 5 hours 19 mins!

Improve by one hour with least training ? How is that possible?!

One good reason would be , the weather!

at here : is cold and dry.

therefore you hardly sweat and hardy dehydration compare at Singapore Marathon.

That would be Nico's theory.

Anyway, Some updates to know,

I going New Zealand on Tuesday, and I start working as waiter!

September had been kind to me throughout end of it,

On 26th September, Me, Chon Jin, Kar Mern & Hein Wai went to Showgorund for Royal Melbourne Show.

is a great Carnival Theme park .

So we eat and walk around till late evening, where me , aun shiang & lip boon

decided to take the ride that caught us 'turkey-stare-rain' attention.

Once again, I'm sorry for the late update due to the 'sucky' overload Internet usage issue.

Two days ago, had a awesome run with Elaine around the cit

Please do not get wrong, I'm that extreme yet to the extent of running from Clayton to city yet.

That's like 25km away from city.

After morning grocery with Tak Leong, & Kar Mern, me and Elaine took bus & train to city.

While I was waiting for Elaine, typical malaysian timing.There's one stranger ask direction to Clayton town.

As typical kind person of me, I told him the bus number and which station suppose to get off.

Few minutes laters, he said ' you're very handsome today'

best thing about it, i can't get it in second hand copy and can't get it at Malaysia because it been issued at Australia institute.

So it's pretty suck, I think I spent like RM1000 on text books.

I know, you guys would have say,

Thing is, Australia is quite strict about copyright, you can't even see any DVD store around.

Finally!

After two weeks of staying at Australia, I finally get a day that actually stay at home and not going city!

Seriously, going city is either I gonna spend lot or darn tired after walking around the city.

First of, please accept my humble apologize for being slow update.

Just can't blame me thou,

such a cold weather had made me so 'hibernation' about almost everything.

Thing is, it is quite true about that. Data shows that 31% of Australian had sleep more than 11hours and sleep the most compared the rest of the world.

So sorry again, I don't have any Melbourne picture with me at the moment.

My dad not allow me to bring camera as I had a bad record of losing luxury camera during penang marathon.

But, thing ain't goes that bad,

least I had my friend take picture, thanks to advance technology stalker facebook tool that can tag around.

Before that, I gonna tell a funny story while I'm Melbourne.

At the 5th day of Melbourne, I went to city and visit Colin, meanwhile searching for bike.

even before, I already had a good bike offer that cost 250AUD.

but why not, give other bike another chances to look around.

After one loop of bike searching, those bike is not either 1000AUD or 2000AUD.

even mountain bike price also beat to hell of my 250AUD road bike.

then that's it, I am so go for the 250AUD road bike but at that time, I'm not too sure how to get that place for the test ride.

After some direction given by Colin, I was asked to wait for TRAM that labeled 1.

When i saw one, I so can't wait for it to hoop on it

BUT

who knows the tram went pass me

I was wandering why, then one guys told me that I need stand right front a bit,

else the tram wouldn't know I need to take one.

Gosh!

while I was about to decide to wait for another tram,

it shows that it gonna take 20 mins waiting.

and at that moment, I saw the tram that I missed was moving quite slowly and is not that far distance away from me.

Crazy of me, decide to chase after it!

MARATHON SPIRIT!!!

While I running towards it, I aware some people was staring at me and some even cheer for me

such as, "you can make it, mate!"

you will never get that back at Malaysia.

what's the hilarious part?

you know city is just full of the traffic light, even for pedestrian.

While I chasing after it, when the light is red, I stop for it and watch the tram lowly moving away from me.

I know that the fact that I could just break thru the red,

but for some unknown reason, I couldn't!!

I just gotto follow the effin law! and at that moment, I felt like I'm so singaporean.

by the way, is not just once, is several times,

each time i stop for the red light, the tram will once again increase the distance away from me.

after I ran for 3km, I finally catch up the tram and hoop on it. I was all pale and my leg was all soared up.

Once I reached the Albert park for the test ride, I couldn't find the retailer.

I was expecting a bike shop around that area, and I couldn't find that retailer.

so I called, and guess what?

I took 20 mins to find that retailer's house, is not because my sense of direction suck.

it is because of the Aussie accent and my typical ah beng accent to em,

which hardly communicate each other.

So I test ride it, and I find it quite alright, not to say very good.

Of course , couldn't expect muich from 250AUD road bike.

When I was about to pay, I just realize I only had 205AUD and my atm card is not activated yet.

so I was like so screwed, and thinking will this aussie beat me up or what?!

end up, I went back home empty handed.

and after I've done all the online searchin for cheaper and better road bike!

Thanks to some FAT ASS during the basketball game at Sandy Park,

my thigh is hurt badly by his knee.

Right now , I hardly can walk around, and it will be so much better if i got a cane like HOUSE did.

Thank goodness, it was only my left leg.

Least, I still get to drive around.

but the pain within it, i think it gonna last for like...1 or 2 weeks.

So, whoever around me, probably noone,

you guys might get uncomfortable things or tease from my mouth.

Today, Doctor MONG is about to tell you something about GAS.
BUT! BEFORE that!
You know, as a doctor, we get to see different case, different patients with their idiotic actions.

Of ALL cases I had, I got one special case.
In fact, it's not big deal about it, just wanted to tell how idiotic this patient is , that's all.

So, it was two weeks ago, this patient went to my clinic for medical examination for his Visa application.

It was 2pm, I was away from clinic
So, my slutty nurse ask him go do his ~~Breast~~ chest X-ray first,

So, he went to the radiology department for his X-ray.

After he done with the X-ray, doctor told him that he needed to do another X-ray because they had found something unusual in his chest.

So, he have no choice but to do another X-ray again and he knew it gonna cost him lot.

After 1 hour and 45 mins, the x-ray report is done, but there's some technical problem.
Apparently, they had mistaken the signature on the application paper.
So they asked him to find somewhere and print the application form again.

so , he went to the 'library' and asked for computer,
but the 'librarian' said the computer is meant for surfing
and
that photostat machine is for photostat.

=.="

So he couldn't print and he went back to the radiology department.
Then, he said " can't you just use the computer that right behind you and print the damn form?"

So, after with all the hassle he had at that radiology department, he went back to my clinic around 4.45pm.

So, I will just follow the procedure of medical examination, from eyes, ears, mouth and lung.

When I was checking his abdomen, I found a mass at the bottom left.
I suspect that something had stuck at there or kidney had gone front from the back.

So I asked this boy, go back to radiology for Ultrasound test, to just make sure this boy is alright..

But I told him that department will close at 6pm, he better hurry up.
so, when he reached there , it was 535pm, he was told that the ultrasound doctor had gone back home and he didn't met the fasting requirement, which is 4 hours.

so , he had to do it the next morning.

THE NEXT DAY,
He fast from midnight till afternoon , just for the ultrasound test.
Everything was fine, until he heard the bill for his ultrasound test is RM250.

and
when he brought back the ultrasound report to me.
I told him, it was only bowel gas that stuck at there, which might one of the symptom is
FART ALOT!

which is true.
I told him, luckily I found out early at here,
Else, at Australia, it gonna cost you BIG BUCK!

Anyhow, the total bill for the medical examination is
140+80+250

and you do the math..

FYI, ordinary bill is just 180.

I SO FART at the wrong time!

Just got the offer letter three days ago!

Finally, for once in my life, I can get the hell outta of Malaysia.

not to say Malaysia is bad or something.

It's just me, that never been anywhere further than Singapore or Thailand.

Just realize how unfortunate am I , this lately.

Right now, all I gotto do is those Practical like;

1.gotto submit those acceptance form,

2.then the apply student Visa,

3.Booked Flight,

4.Look for off-campus accomondation since I'm too poor to stay on-campus.

5. Open an Account for the grant

6. Laptop, since I'm not gonna bring my deskstop over there.

7. check baggage serive for my road bicycle, if any.

8. contact with Australian about the Australian University Game.

Gosh! so much work to do within these two months!

Better yet, I'm going to fly right after 2 days of my last paper.

Recently, Malaysia's Economy has facing negative growth, which had made me have to save more money to buy those ingredient at the end of the month.

Anyway, I wouldn't say this month recipe is gonna be extraordinary , unique or special.
it is just SHEPARD PIE.

First off, the ingredient would be:
-POTATOES
-CARROTS
-DICED CARROTS,PEAS & CORN
-PARMESAN CHEESE
-GROUND BEEF/MUTTON/CHICKEN
-GARLIC
-ONION
-LEMON (Optional)

Pretty simple eh?

Boil those potatoes & carrots.
so as the diced carrot, corn & peas.

Meanwhile, prepare Onion and garlic for the Ground Meat.

Then, heat up the oil and pour those garlic and onion into the pot.
Follow by the meat, add some seasoning.

After you have boiled the potatoes and carrots,
mash those till u get mashed potatoes and carrot paste.

Then , you should prepare all the cooked ingredient something like this:
Meanwhile, preheat the Oven for 200' for 25mins.

So, place the meat at the bottom, or if you want to make more like a pie. you can put mashed potatoes at the bottom too. ( Optional)

Next, would the carrot paste or diced carrots.

Follow by, the Carrot, Corn & Pea.
Of course, it will by cover up by the mashed potatoes.
Then you should get something like this :

Last but not least, to increase the tastiness of all, add some of the Parmesan cheese on top of it.,
and Please do it like a PRO, don't be like me.

After that, place it into the Oven 250' for 30 minutes

And here's you not so extraordinary Shepard Pie.

Monash Music Festival!
My Event organizer department was in charge of opening a booth for my club.

Thankfully, I was given a ~~slave~~ assistant, Lilian.
She did a great job back then.

Before the event started , we have to attend the meeting,
Email to supplier, survey for cheaper drinks,negotiate with supplier, decision making, strategy, human skill and technical stuff.

Gosh! nuisance!

Anyhow, we didn't face any loses at the end of the day.
Our profit was only RM151 ringgit for the whole day.
How pathetic eh?

Anyhow, what I have gain for myself, is the experience of it and management skill, which is still poor for now.

I bet he don't like it.

During my E-commerce lecture, I SMSed Xin Loong that we will having Macroeconomic policy Lecture from 5pm -7pm.

I know it's kinda normal is get that kind of message from me during April Fool day, and you can always ignore it.
Anyway,

Because I know that the macroeconomic lecture wanted put 5 hours lectures and tutorial on Saturday.
So I told him, that the lecturer decided to put 2 hours today and 3 hours on Saturday with the evidence i saw the "notice" in the course management office.

Of course, he won't buy that easily, he even asked his friends went to the office and look for the notice.

then he told me there wasn't any notice by told by his friend.
Then I said, OH?! really? I'm sure is there! Maybe someone is trying to put a prank on us by putting notice there? anyway, I just going to stay back just in case there is a lecture or something"

then he reply back, "YEa, I think my friend is trying to play prank on me"

So around 4pm, he reached at Uni, and he even go to the office , and look for the notice.
then, meet me up at library, and tell him the truth.

and all I get is...

WTF! FUCK you! FUCK YOU! WTF!.

Apparently, not only he ask his firend check for notice, his friend spread the news and some of em' even msg and call the lecturer regard of the non-existence lecture.

OH my, I feel so miserable and lifeless.

NOTE: HE don't have any class on that day.

12pm-3pm - tutorial Class
3pm- 4pm- Late Lunch at awful Monash Cafeteria.
5pm- 7pm - Monash Music Festival Meeting.
8pm- 11pm - Gymnastic & Cheer Training at Sunway.
11pm -12am - Shopping at Giant.

At the end of day,I did not prank anyone.
So no one was harm by me on that day.

Today, I gonna throw a knowledge at you, to make you less dumb!

the V-sign above might seem peaceful, yet is quite common to be seen around the street,
or even your friend doing it when they taking picture.

However, there is a difference between the palm inward and outward V-sign.

The common V-sign is either mean VICTORY or PEACE!
But on the other hand, with the palm inward of V-sign, means

The origin of that Inward V-sign is :

After a week of being 20s, it felt extremely weird!
Of course not the fact of being 20s, just that,

ever since the C3 is over, no more late night practice, no more midnight mamak, no more midnight bacon, no more extremely tired feeling when I got back home.

Anyhow, During the third week of of March, I had 3on3 Basketball competition at Sunway.
As I expected, We lose badly, cause we didn't train much, the teammate are like "erm"..

Ok! maybe I should not complain about that.
=D

You know what's the best part?!
The team that we versed for the first round is
MONASH TEAM!

Holy crap! NEWBIE team like us
" How to win"!

However, during the game, we played quite well for the first half.
Thanks to my usual long hand, I grabbed all the rebounds!

But at the end of second half, they trashed us like nobody!
Sigh!

But at the end of that night(17/3/09), I just realized that I finally can
SLAMDUNK!
say bye bye to "grab the rim"
I can Slam dunk before the age of 20!

After the competition, I went into the Campus for cheer practice.
The moment I reached, all the birthday wishes came from them.
Even the girl, Yi Mei, that I seldom talk with, said Hi to me?

Then, all of sudden, Birthday song came along with it.

Then , I told them today is not birthday yet.
They thought I lied to them till I showed them my IC.
Then only they realize is not!

I guessed I told them that my Birthday is on 17th instead of 19th.

They even prepared cake! Oh my gawh! Now I felt extremely bad for that.

But at least, there is a reason for them to celebrate with, which is also Yi ying Birthday on that week, 12th March, if no mistaken.

During the Event, Aaron, Shi ni, Yinn Yinn, Julius, YC and the rest of MBC member had a surprised cake for me!

Frankly speaking, after I live so long, this is a complete surprise I had!
Shit! Why I don't see that coming!

Oh yea! I met a great pal during that night.
Their name is Kenny Mik and Kennard Mong.
Strange eh?

Both of them are being supportive and although they are not member of MBC.
But I do appreciate their help from them.

During that night, it also let me felt that having a cake on hand is just the same as having Knife on hand.

After what I had at Carl's Junior due to the bet I lose to Kin Yeu.

I decided to make my own Burger.

Obviously, the main thing that you need is the minced Beef.

-Lemons-
-Garlic-
-White Onion-
-Red Onion-
-Tomatoes-
-Cucumber-
-Pickles-
-Bacon-
-Burger Bun-
-Chives( Spices)-

First, get the juice out from lemon.

Then, your Red Onion, Garlic, White Onion, Cucumber and Tomatoes.

Slice them into something like this,

After, get a blender, to blend the garlic with olive oil
for minced garlic.

-Olive Oil-

Diced Onion, Lemon juice & Minced Garlic.

And these are the ingredients for the patties.
-Minced Beef-
-Lemon-
-Minced Garlic-
-Salted Butter-
-Diced Onion-
-Chives Spice-
Pour all of them into the mixer ,
and slowly mix it up.

After that, roll into meatball and slowly push down the meatball into the patties shape.
It shall become something like this.

After the, get ready to fry them.
By the way, is not recommended option to fry the patties.
it will destroy the shape of your patties...
and..
Become like this.

-Burger Bun-

After the Patties and Bacon have done, is time to add those mayo, pickles

then along with the patties, where bacon on top of it
follow up by the cheese..

Seriously, it took almost 3 hours to get it done.

Meanwhile, I had make another patties where inside of it is cheese.

The recipe for this month will be much more simple!
ALL you gotto do is

boil it with water and stir it occasionally.

THINK TWICE!
IF you think the recipe is gonna be that easy.

Actually, it is that easy..

yet is kinda repeated from previous month.

INGREDIENT

MAIN DISH
-SALMON BLOCK ( 150-200 grams)
-1 LIME
- 1 LEMON
-2 TABLESPOONS OF CHIVES
-2 TABLESPOONS OF DILL

- SOFTENED BUTTER ( 150grams)
-1 TABLESPOON OREGANO
-1 spoon COOKING CREAM

SIDE DISH-MASHED POTATO

-POTATOES
- SALTED BUTTER
-2 tablespoons of CHIVES

PREHEAT the OVEN 250 degree.
THEN,
We shall begin with the sauce.
Firstly, squeeze the juice outta the lemon.

Then, pour the cooking cream into the mixture bowl,
so as the butter.

After that, mix juice of lemon, lime, 2 tablespoons of chives, dills into softened butter.
Smear with the flavored butter.

Place the salmon on the foil and enclose it all tightly at 250 degree for 25 minutes

Meanwhile, you can start taking out the potatoes
and start peeling within the water.
Don't worry, it's still hot within it.

Then, SMASH IT as hard as you can!
mix it with butter and chives.
and
you will get something like this.

BEFORE i show the dish, i shall show you my dad's newly recipe.
Apparently, he also had his cooking recipe from TV.
So basically, both us were sharing the kitchen.

After the 15th of CNY, I had accumulated all my the ang pao and the money that I won from gambling.

This CNY, I had played 'Cho dai dee' , TEXAS hold em' poker and
my favorite, BLACK JACK.

Well, you might think I'm that person

after you read this

Well, I met her while I'm was around my hometown.
Before I met her, I was wandering around the whole city and the beach.

That's my usual routine every times I went back to my hometown,
I got nothing to do at there, except to hears those gossips between my parents and relatives.

Till then, I met her,
I glance through her, she was just stood there well

Chinese New Year, once again...
has arrived, where we,
the bachelors put on new clothes, walk around the area and foolishly bump into people house

After that, I still go back to my mom's side, which allocated at Lumut, port of Pangkor Island.

Seriously, I kinda pity my father that he have to travel from up and down.

Now, that I have a license, I will have to take turn to drive back..
just to ease the burden on my father.

Before Reunion dinner, my cousin , serene urging me to remind my dad to make the BEEF soup.
Then , I was told that he's not making it for some unknown reason.

Right after that, from my chatbox,
My another cousin , Joyce Mong, say not coming back for it.

Till then, on the reunion dinner day,
My beloved Grandmother had cooked beef soup for us as reunion lunch,
which is quite surprise, it had been a while for me not having that dish already...

and then on that night itself, while i enjoying my beef soup,
my cousin, Joyce Mong has just arrived by explaining that somehow, somewhat changed her dad's mind..

Anyway, I had a great dinner and reunion with relatives
although not much to be seen in some way..

Anyway, just came back from my dad's side,
2 hours later , I will be heading towards Pangkor Island..

Sigh..

After the great event of Singapore Marathon that I had month ago,

After that ,

I sleep from 6 till 12pm...

then go for lunch
and poof!
back to sleep again...

2pm till 7pm...

Then, if the next got class..
I would stay up the whole night till 830am class then the rest up of the day...

and that..my friend is no longer

Nico & Unknown Ambition

I'm sure everyone had this kind of topic that you teacher will ask you
when you were in primary school.

What's your ambition?
or
What you wanna do when you grow up?

OR

What's your potential ambition when you have to fill up every year of your report card.
*that shit happen on me*

Frankly speaking, I was quite dumb to answer that...
I know what I should become...

A FIREMAN!

But my mom keep nagging me that I should become Doctor..
so technically, that is what her ambition..

Mom told me that I should become a Doctor...
with the very plain and stupid reason,
Doctor can earn a lot of money...

So over the 6 years of primary school,
I have been filling up using Doctor as my ambition.

So where am I now?!
Studying Business Course at Monash University...
After I screwing up my PMR that totally lead me to elsewhere but not Science...

I thought I would screw up my life by going art class.

But it did not turnout that bad
Thanks to my dad, with his parents's right,
I was manage to get to go the Upper Art Class..

I should be thankful enough
that I manage to study Additional Mathematics, Economic and Accounting.

Turnout, I kinda like those subjects,
and I really enjoy it so much.

I even represent school for Taylor's Accounting Competition.
While is actually quite random..
IF I no mistaken,
Form 5 teacher day, when me and friends fooling around the school.
Then, somewhat we heard one of our friend that there's some sorta
Pre-accounting competition held at library.

and

we just spontaneously went into the library
and ask Pn Sally
* my F5 accting teach*
for paper..

If I no mistaken,
I remembered Charlotte, Swee Ing were there as well
Well, I wouldn't be surprise why they would take that kind of test.
Because both of em been sticking around Pn Sally a lot..

few days later,
I was told that I get to represent school for the Taylor's Accounting Competition.
At first, I didn't expect that would happen on me
cause I did not know got such a thing for me.

Anyway, being a finalist for the competition,
I lose terribly by those smart ass.
You have no idea how fast can their brain is...

So, with that kind of experience,
I thought I might wanna be accountant in the future..

After I graduate from high school,
I was given a choice of going Economics or Accounting?
IF I'm going for Accounting , I in with CAT then ACCA..
if still unknown..

I might consider other college course..

I even thought about MMU,
with it Financial engineering.

BUT

I chose Inti , Nilai for
South Australia Matriculation
witht the
same old subject given during the high school
Specialist Mathematics, Accounting and Economics.

At first , I thought I can do Actuarial science with SAM at Australia
IF I MANAGE to get TER98,
which is like almost impossible for me
due to my limited IQ.

so now,
I'm back to the General business course at Monash...
which I could go back to Accounting major.

But
despsite how good I am at that subject,
I will not major that accounting.
IF I want to, I would have done so during form 5
and study ACCA now.

so , it left marketing, Economic, Finance and Econometric.

I even thought of having marketing as major,
ever since I heard one of my friend cousin who is a Tri-athletic
who having marketing major and got a well offerd by Nike.
so
why not me?

Having Marketing and Finance is simply good enough for me,
Because it is kinda wide and well offered by most company in malaysia.
I would say that,
With that major, You wouldn't be starved..

But
after having a long thought
I realized that I had so passion on Mathematics and Economics,
I understand and want to know actual value of most thing but not face value
as most people accept the face value, without fully understand how the things come from.
Although with that kind of thought, I might made a precise decision on most thing,
but having precise decision,
it takes long thought and lot of unnecessary considerations...
So sometimes, it good enough to take face value to make decisions,
But you just can't deny that fact there is actual value that might bias the whole thing...

OR 2nd reason I take econometrics is
ever since My dad is operating
MAGNUM 4D soon
and I will manage to know how the
math things work among it.
So, there might be high possibility that I able to applied on it.
Is fun to do so thou...

Therefore,
I decided to take exchange program to Clayton
and have actuarial units within my major.

and continuously,
might have take some exam from Institute of Actuaries of Australia...

oh boy...

So this how my ambition gonna be eh?

I present you,
CHEF WAN in the house!

Once again,I present you...

CHEF MONG!

and yes!
I can iron and cook at the same time.
This is call multitasking power.

Anyway,
Today special menu is
"Wish n' Cheap"

Let me introduce the ingredients

-Dory Fish Fillet
-Chips
-Baking Power
-Wheat Flour
-Salt
-Lemons
-Salted Butter
-Cooking Cream

and last but not least

Jack Daniel's Whisky.

FIRST!

Defrost the fillet if necessary..

Then, is time to BATTER for fillet...

First, pour the 250 gram Wheat flour into the into the pot,
along with 1 tea spoon of Baking powder and 2 tea spoon of Salt.

and stir it till it well mixed.

Then , add some whiskey and water.
If you planning to drunk your date, you can just use it instead of water.

Next, stir it...
till it become some like this.

Smooth....
by right, you are not suppose see some chunks within the mixture.

After that, place the batter and pour another 500 gram of Flour
and place beside the fryer.

Now, is for the sauce...
LEMON BUTTER SAUCE..

First of all, cut the lemon,
for the lemon juice.
trust me,
just one will do.

then take out the seed...

After that, the ingredient for
Lemon butter sauce is
Lemon, butter and cooking cream.

Note: This sauce is require small fire
else the sauce spoiled easily.
Pour 200 mLiter of cooking cream and stir it for few seconds.

then you add 125grams of Butter, and stir it..
yes , is 125 grams.
I know is killing us but believe it or not,
most of the recipe are required lot of Butter.

when the butter starting to melt, pour the lemon juice
and continue stirring it
till
the butter completely melted.

and it will become something like this..

LEMON BUTTER SAUCE.

So, now is the fish part..

First, put the fillet on the flour..
and try to the fillet filled with flour
by..

massaging it.

After that, dip it into the Batter..
and it should be well covered with it

and it shall be like this...

Then set your fryer, Max temperature and timer.
just use your math ratio to count will ya?
320= 3mins
190 = 7 mins

Then, this is the crucial part of all...
Frying part!! wohoo!

Please, to those newbie...
Please do not throw your fillet like basketball...

You gotto be gentle...
First, you should put the head part into it ..
then hold it for few seconds..
yes, few seconds!
then..till you see the head part started float..

then only you can slowly let it go...
Omg...
Sounds so WRONG!

After 3 mins, is time for the other side...

IF you dun have a timer, you can always check with color or wait till it float
then means it cooked.

Then now the chips part..
This one ar..
hamtam in it...
and wait for 6 mins only.

After that,
coordinate it well
and

Ta..daa!!

Kinda late for the resolution thingy cause I had some issue
with my Bloody crappy old Modem..

So back to the topic,
This year, I gonna make less resolution.
Cause I had too much of things going on for this year,
so if I have like 9 or 10 resolution to do.
then, my 2009 will gonna be one hell year for me.

INSTEAD of having MISS MONTH,
I gonna give you have
1.MONTHLY FOOD RECIPE POST..
I know is nothing to special,
at least is to me, so I would have actually work on hard on looking recipe
and maybe do some shopping..
For you guys record, I used to work at Fish n' Co, as a Kitchen Crew..
I missed those days of grilling, frying, filleting and
of coz
WASHING DISHES, which is a must to do for every kitchen crew..

Since Marathon is kind of yearly routine for me now,
so I would not take it as my this year resolution...
Unless is SAHARA DESSERT, we are talking about..

So, Instead of LAND, I chose water..
2. Complete Marang to Kapas Island Swimathon

If I no mistaken, It's gonna be like 6km of ~~walking~~ swimming distance...

five days of free accommodation and meals at Singapore.

I wish that could actually end this post.

SERIOUSLY, I mean it.

Anyway, after my morning lecture and tutorial,
me, Brandon and Ann June went to Kepong for the Acer PC installation.
We had to unpack the all the monitors, CPU and all the accessories.
Trust me. it is so was tiring
but we have it in the fun way.

By the way, all the heavy workload was worth RM50.
We DEMAND FOR MORE!! least RM60? xD

After the work, I have to rush back to Tak Leong's house for
the Secret Santa&Mafia Party.
Whoever don't know what is Secret Santa,
Here's the brief note of it,
" Secret Santa is a event in which member of a group are randomly assigned members to whom they anonymously give a gifts."

After all the Chit Chat, it time to reveal who are whose secret Santa!!
you guys might have thought who is so unlucky to have Nico as Secret Santa?

Guess who? is Ann June!
As Secret santa , I had a plan for her.

Before that, I bought her a book " P.S. I love you"
I know its sounds not Nico for giving that kind of gift.

But I take it as a test for me whether am I able to analyze people through appearance or brief known.

Cause being a secret Santa , you are not suppose to reveal yourself and yet need to know what's your recipient actually need.

Frankly speaking, I hardly know Ann June.
I just know her through Tak leong.

But,if I no mistaken,
During November, I saw her PM shows " Reading"
So I would assume that she like to read.

and Yeong said that 'P.S I love you" is a good book.

Therefore, I bought it as her gift.
But then come and think of it, Since it is a good book?
is there any chances that she had read it already?

Yeong said : haha, where got such a coincidence.
Nico: with the fact that she love to read. Wouldn't be surprise.

So, just in case, she had read the book.
I had downloaded the movie and the burn into CD.

But with that, I still think is not fun enough.
So I a Plan for her.
I follow the idea of the book.

Wrote a few letters to her.
and
those letter will lead her to the gift.
Of course, in between the process, she will have to do some stuff.

But anyway!
Before they have to get their gift , they have to guess who are their secret Santa.

Actually, the few days before the event, I kinda knew who is mine.
After I see the gift, this can't be his/her job!

Before that, it felt heavy and nice.

Till I open the cover, I saw the TESCO promotion Newspaper.
So I thought Ok, at least is Origami, I think...
As I unwrapped it, It was the marble stone.
HECK?!
I straight away, Turn into Stone.
Then, some flashes went through my eyes,
then I knew it was another prank again.
Oh my god, what is this..

While Jun Li took away the stone and replace it with

After that, I went to have look at Ann June side.
see whether she manage to get her gift.
Apparently not so,
So I decide to guide her somehow with another letter.

AT first, my plan was suppose be,
I asked someone stranger to her to give her first letter.
and that letter will guide her to first 'fake gift'
Inside the gift, is my very very old spec, which means nothing actually.
but inside that gift, contained another letter,
at the end of letter, it mentioned " Don't ask Tak Leong and Nico"
and yet she did asked one of us.
So I gave another letter, which mentioned
"you dissapointed me and she is suppose to hug me!"
but apparently the situation of that time, not suitable to do so.
So, I told her that her 'secret santa', who is me, ask 'me' to tell her that go the elicia there,

and finally she got her gift in that way.
but, it seems not over yet.
when she looks at the book, she said she read it before.
I KNEW IT!!
but when she saw the CD, she thought it could be the next clue of it.
so she asked tak leong to his computer to open the file.

then I just stand aside and act don't know and just watch the whole process of it.
Till she said she know already, I thought someone told her that is me.
but actually, she knew it long time ago few days ago,
me and my big mouth
said that her secret Santa got big plan for her...

But overall, it was good enough for me.
At least , I got what I wanted from my Plan.
A HUG from her...xD

Then, we played three round of MAFIA due to the new version and large number of people.
Overall, the game was kinda imbalance, cause I was underestimate the fact of having godfather.
or maybe the godfather is being idiot?
But I will change some of the part.
Maybe I should use it for my Networking party.

As I was lying at sofa, due to tiredness from work and being GMs,
I got...

after reading my previous post.

After the little yum cha session,
went to rayner's house for 52' game till 5am
Currently, I'm so lazy to explain that game.
